Woodrow Wilson Middle School

This group of middle school students investigates how to update the school dress code to align with current trends while maintaining a respectful learning environment. Based on over 250 student responses, they highlights concerns about equity and outdated policies. Their proposed solution includes forming a diverse committee to ensure the dress code supports inclusivity and self-expression without compromising professionalism or safety.

Eric Smith Middle School

Eric Smith middle school students examine the impact of early school start times on student well-being, highlighting issues such as fatigue and stress. Using surveys, interviews, and outside research, they found strong support for a later start time from both students and teachers. Their proposed actions include creating a petition and presenting their findings to the school administration to advocate for a schedule change.
