Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) is an active, student-centered civic learning approach that nurtures youth civic voice and engagement while addressing public school civics mandates and Civic Seal requirements.
The Civically Engaged Districts (CED) Project at Teachers College brings educators together for professional development designed to support teachers' integration of YPAR into their classrooms. This professional development day will take place at Teachers College, Columbia University, on Friday November 6th, 2026, from 8:30am-2:30pm. By attending this CED PD day, you will:
